No, your CGM should still function completely normally. Every design has cut outs so that the sensor is able to “breathe” through the built in holes. Make sure those holes are not covered. To be safe, make sure to check your glucose periodically with a manual meter.

The halo should clip onto the CGM snug. After pushing it on, make sure all sides are clipped. It should not move until you are ready to take it off!

To remove it, simply use a flathead screw driver between the Halo and the CGM to pop it off. Do not pull only the Halo with your hands, since this could cause the sensor to get pulled off as well.
