Who We Are
Hello! My name is Ashlyn, I am the creator of Agave Soul and I am a type 1 diabetic. I was diagnosed at 19 years old, which is actually a lot later than a lot of people who get diagnosed early in childhood.
Anyone who is or has a family member/friend that is diabetic knows that there are major lifestyle choices that have to be made almost every second of the day. For many of us, those adjustments can be challenging. Your whole day is based off of how your sugar levels are: What can I eat? Did I bring enough insulin? Is my sugar too high to do this? Is my sugar too low to do that? In emergency, do I have everything I need?
I know for many people, wearing something on your body 24/7 can make you self-conscious. I fought the idea of having to wear a CGM (continuous glucose monitor).. I am extremely active and love styling myself. So at first, I didn’t want a device limiting or getting in the way of things I love.. But little did I know that having one would drastically change my life- for the better! I was finally able to have an accurate and continual knowledge of how my body is reacting every second, which obviously improved my overall health. I am so grateful for these devices!
For something that is worn every day to save our health- it deserves to to be worn with pride!
Our Products
Halos
Halos are handmade designs that fit perfectly onto your CGM device. Each one can be worn 24/7 since it is made out of sterling silver.
The Halo will snap on, and cannot be removed without a tool ( I usually use a mini flathead screwdriver) so that you will not have to worry about it coming off during daily activities.
Each Halo weighs between 4-8grams depending on design and device type that it is fitted for.
Before putting it on, make sure air holes on the device line up with empty space so that the CGM continues to work correctly!
Pendants
My husband, Jayvin, said to me “I wish I could wear a CGM because I want to match with you”.
